Cette approche territoriale traduit un changement de perspective : la g\u00e9ographie des risques s\u2019int\u00e9resse moins aux al\u00e9as qu\u2019aux territoires qui y sont expos\u00e9s. La notion de vuln\u00e9rabilit\u00e9 a aussi \u00e9volu\u00e9 : elle prend en compte des facteurs nouveaux ; cognitifs, politiques, institutionnels. A l\u2019\u00e9chelle plan\u00e9taire, l\u2019\u00e9tude des littoraux permet de mettre en valeur et de comprendre les transitions \u00e0 l\u2019\u0153uvre actuellement : transitions d\u00e9mographique, \u00e9cologique, technologique\u2026L\u2019\u00e9tude des relations entre les hommes et leur environnement, centrale dans ce th\u00e8me 1, se conclut par l\u2019analyse de la maitrise de l\u2019eau dans des environnements contraignants .
